League of Extraordinary Teens
The League of Extraordinary Teens is a unique and hands-on statewide initiative seeking to engage Tennesseans ages 13 to 19 in the financial and logistical support of the Tennessee counties currently offering Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a program that provides a new, age-appropriate, hardcover book each month to children from birth to age five at no cost to the family.

League membership requires teens to personally register a minimum of 10 children and raise a minimum of $140 to cover the cost of those children for their county's Imagination Library for one year.

Extraordinary teens from across the state will receive a certificate of appreciation signed by Governor Bredesen, will be recognized on the Governor's Books from Birth Foundation website and be listed in the quarterly newsletter, Signpost.
Our teenagers in Marion County have been busy on this project.  They have signed up 72 kids under the age of 5 so far!!  They have worked at the Marion County Fair to sign kids up and to raise money towards their goal.  They provided an inflatable fun house for the kids and sold bracelets they had made.  Currently they are working on a Christmas program sure to delight and entertain you.  Be sure and support these kids in their efforts!
